US Secretary of State Blinken visits the Philippines

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in the Philippines on Friday night, making his first official visit to the country since taking office a year ago.

Blinken was welcomed at the Villamor Airbase by Chief of Protocol for the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Fred Santos, and Assistant Secretary for American Affairs, JV Chan-Gonzaga.

On Saturday, August 6, Blinken is set to meet with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and DFA Secretary Enrique Manalo to discuss the further strengthening of the US-Philippines relations. BKM/ Expat Media
