95 more Omicron BA.5 cases have been detected in the Philippines

According to the Department of Health, 95 more cases of Omicron subvariant BA.5 have been found in the Philippines.

DOH Officer-in-Charge Maria Rosario Vergeire stated at the press conference that there are 67 BA.5 cases from Region 11, 25 from Region 12, and one each from Region 10, Caraga, and the National Capital Region (NCR).

Vergeire stated that 52 of the cases were fully vaccinated, while three individuals were not. She said the vaccination status of the remaining individuals is still being verified.

Furthermore, the DOH OIC is still verifying the travel histories and health status of the infected individuals. BKM/ Expat Media
