UAE confirms first day of Eid Al Fitr 2024

The UAE has announced that the first day of Eid Al Fitr will be on Wednesday (April 10), which corresponds to Shawwal 1.

The UAE Moon Sighting Committee announced that Tuesday (April 9) will be the last day of Ramadan.

Meanwhile, employees across the country were expected to have enjoyed their extended Eid break since Saturday (April 6). The paid leave for all private sector employees and government workers began on Monday (April 8) and will continue until April 14 (Sunday). Work will resume on April 15 (Monday). The long Eid Al Fitr holiday was announced by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the UAE Cabinet. ICA/Expat Media
