Abu Dhabi Maritime, the principal custodian of Abu Dhabi’s waterways, has inaugurated a Public Water Taxi service in Yas Bay and Raha Beach in conjunction with Miral, Abu Dhabi’s premier producer of immersive locations and experiences.
The Public Water Taxi will connect Abu Dhabi’s waterfront attractions and offer an alternative mode of transportation. It will operate in high-demand areas like Yas Bay, Yas Marina, and Al Bandar.
The service will be open seven days a week with hourly vessel availability.
The new Public Water Taxi service supports Abu Dhabi’s global status as one of the best places to live, work, and visit.
The Public Water Taxi follows the success of the Water Shuttle Pilot Programme earlier this year as part of Miral’s efforts to enhance resident and visitor experiences on the island by delivering a comprehensive water transport system for anyone looking to move around Yas Bay Waterfront.
The new service will offer a fresh and distinct travel experience on Abu Dhabi’s waterways and advance a multi-modal integrated transportation system in the emirate.
The new water taxi service will connect Al Raha and Yas Island’s waterfront attractions, including the F1 2022 season finale at Yas Marina Circuit. Supporting the event for the first time, Abu Dhabi Maritime through the Public Water Taxi will provide a novel transport option for spectators to and from the event. BKM/ Expat Media
