DUBAI – The trial began for a 34-year-old Asian man accused of molesting a Filipino boy in front of his father at a mall in Dubai.
The Dubai Court of First Instance heard that the Asian man, who is in Dubai on visit visa, kissed the boy inappropriately during the incident.
The father testified that in front of him, the man took off his son’s shorts and kissed the boy twice. A CCTV footage that captured the incident supported his testimony.
The boy’s father said he was standing next to his son in one of the outdoor benches when the man came up to them to say that his son was handsome.
He said that the man then grabbed his son, lifted him and “took off my son’s shorts and kissed him twice for no reason”.
The father said that the accused quickly left after he confronted him. Mall security guard were able to catch the defendant and handed him over to police.
