Grandest Sinulog festival in Philippines comes to Dubai

The Sinulog, considered the Philippines’ grandest festival, is coming to Dubai in February, organizers revealed.

Sinulog in Dubai will be held on February 12 in Souk Al Marfa, the biggest waterfront market located on Dubai’s Deira Islands. Entrance to the event is free.

Organizer MJM Events told Expatmedia.net that Sinulog in Dubai will gather Sinulog dance presentations held at Catholic churches in the UAE and “make this a grand celebration”.

“Everyone can witness the original and live drums and bugle in Sinulog beat and dances. They can also witness Bisayan songs and enjoy the beauty of our Sinulog Festival Queen with their recycled attire, ” according to MJM Events.

Ten Filipino groups are expected to participate in the event: one in Abu Dhabi, six in Dubai, two in Ras Al Khaimah, and one in Fujairah. RZSP/Expat Media
