DUBAI – The UAE celebrates Flag Day on November 3 and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum has invited citizens and residents to hoist the flag at 11am.
“We call on our citizens, institutions and ministries to raise [the flag] on November 3 at 11am,” said the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Since 2013, Flag Day has been celebrated in the UAE to mark the accession of Sheikh Khalifa as President.
It is marked with a flag raising ceremony at all schools and government entities, while people are encouraged to decorate their homes, buildings and cars in the colours of the UAE flag. ICA/Expat Media
