Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach is reportedly moving to Dubai after her dream island wedding with businessman Jeremy Jauncey.
Talent management firm Empire Philippines told Philstar.com that Pia and her husband will be living in Dubai where his business is based. Jeremy is the founder and CEO of travel company Beautiful Destinations.
Pia is reportedly selling her apartment in Makati City for P48 million as part of her plans to move to Dubai. The beauty queen had posted on Instagram that the two-bedroom unit was her “very first solo home”.
“For three years, it has given me a space to be myself, to express myself, to get to know myself better, to rest and destress,” Pia wrote, “But like all things in life, we grow, we transition, we seize the moment,” she added. “We may even say ‘thank you, next…’ on to the next chapter.”
“I hope this home becomes your brand new start. May it make you feel safe always and give you great memories like it did to me,” she added.
A representative of Pia’s talent agency Empire Philippines, however, said that the beauty queen will still have frequent trips to the Philippines for work engagements.
Pia and Jeremey married in Seychelles in a private ceremony on March 24. She posted a video of the wedding on Instagram on May 5.
The couple got engaged in May 2022 after making their relationship public in June 2020. In a previous interview with Expat Media in Dubai, Pia described their relationship as “very kilig so far”. Kilig is a Filipino word that means romantic excitement.
“That was one of the things I tried to teach him, a few Filipino words. It’s funny because he doesn’t know what it means but he’s kilig anyway. Definitely, we have a lot of kilig moments,” Pia told Expatmedia.net.
“He loves that I’m very Filipino. He finds my accent very endearing. Whereas maybe in the Philippines they would have preferred me to have a more American accent. But he loves my Filipino accent,” Pia said. Jeremy is Scottish. ICA/Expat Media
