Overseas Filipinos travelling between the UAE and the Philippines have another direct flight option as Philippine Airlines (PAL) resumes its nonstop Dubai-Manila service.
The Philippine flag carrier restarted the route on Friday (October 2), initially operating four weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
“We know our passengers and travel partners in Dubai have been waiting to see PAL back in operation,” said Joesyl Vasquez, PAL’s regional head for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and the Indian subcontinent. “The resumption of our Dubai-Manila service is an important step in rebuilding that confidence, and we are proud to be back serving the Filipino community and the UAE market.”
The service reconnects travellers with Manila and onward destinations across the Philippines. It also provides passengers from the Philippines with a direct link to Dubai for business, tourism and onward travel.
Under the schedule effective October 2, flight PR 659 departs Dubai at 7:45pm and arrives in Manila at 9:10am the following day. The return service, PR 658, leaves Manila at 12:50pm and arrives in Dubai at 6pm. Both services operate every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, according to PAL’s published schedule.
The airline said it plans to increase flight frequencies progressively as operational conditions allow, with the aim of restoring daily services. Founded in 1941, PAL is the Philippines’ flag carrier and operates domestic and international flights through its hubs in Manila and Cebu. ICA/Expat Media
