This Guinness World Records-certified gold bar measuring 2.12 metres is attracting visitors to the Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show in Sharjah.
Visitors to a major jewellery exhibition in Sharjah can see how they measure up against a record-breaking piece of gold standing nearly 7 feet tall.
The world’s tallest gold bar, measuring 2.12 metres (6 feet 11.5 inches), is one of the attractions at the 58th Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show at Expo Centre Sharjah. The piece, presented by BTC, holds an official Guinness World Records title.
Designed to resemble a giant golden ruler, the bar gives visitors a chance to stand beside it, compare their height and take photographs as part of an interactive display called “Measure Your Height in Gold”.
The bar is displayed vertically on a dedicated platform, with its Guinness World Records certificate placed alongside it to document the achievement.
The exhibition runs until Sunday (October 4), bringing together more than 500 brands from 19 countries across an area of more than 30,000 square metres. Heritage jeweler Devi Jewellers are among the exhibitors.
Five international pavilions representing Hong Kong, India, Italy, Singapore and Thailand are also part of the event, which showcases jewellery, watches, gold, diamonds and precious gemstones. ICA/Expat Media
