DUBAI – A group of people arrested for involvement in a naked pose at a Dubai Marina balcony will be deported from Dubai, according to authorities.
The deportation order came after the Public Prosecution completed an investigation into the incident involving a dozen women, footage of which went viral on Twitter on Saturday.
The group—believed to be mostly from Europe—were charged with public indecency and pornography. Police did not identify the suspects.
Dubai Attorney General Eissam Eissa Al Humaidan said the group was charged with exposure, possessing and storing pornographic material.
“The individuals involved will be deported from the United Arab Emirates. No further comment shall be made on the matter,” authorities said.
Russia’s Consulate General previously said the male cameraman behind the shoot is a Russian citizen. Consular officials said some of the detained women were not Russian. ICA/Expat Media
