DUBAI – A 28-car pile-up on Emirates Road on Wednesday (April 7) left one person injured, according to Dubai Police.
The woman suffered moderate injuries as a result of the crash on Emirates Road after the Al Rowaiyah exit.
Police said the multi-car crash happened because motorists failed to keep a safe distance while driving during foggy conditions on Wednesday morning.
Brigadier Saif Al Mazroui, head of traffic police, said thick fog blanketed Dubai’s highways when the accident happened in the early morning hours of Wednesday.
The police official said two cars crashed into each other, followed by 26 more car crashes by motorists who “didn’t keep a safe distance”. ICA/Expat Media
