By 2030, traveling around Deira or Bur Dubai will take just 16 minutes instead of 104 minutes through the Al Shindagha Corridor Improvement Project, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
The RTA has awarded a Dh800 million contract for Phase 4 of the Al Shindagha Corridor, which is considered one of the largest road development projects in Dubai.
The entire project is estimated to cost a total of Dh5.3 billion. Phase 4 of the project includes the construction of three bridges that will accommodate 19,400 vehicles per hour. The project spans 4.8km from Sheikh Rashid Road to Falcon Interchange on Al Mina Road.
The RTA is also working on the Falcon Interchange Improvement Project, which includes the construction of two bridges along Al Khaleej Street. The bridges will be able to accommodate up to 24,000 vehicles per hour. ICA/Expat Media
