UAE drivers run over pedestrians: Abu Dhabi police share shocking video

The Abu Dhabi Police on Friday (March 17) released shocking footages of drivers in the UAE running over pedestrians crossing the road.

The video was part of a road safety campaign to reduce traffic accidents in the country. Police urged motorists to give way to pedestrians at pedestrian crossings.

In the video, a man is hit by a pickup truck at the pedestrian crossing. In another incident, an SUV runs over a man on a bicycle. Watch the video:

Under the UAE traffic law, motorists who do not give way to pedestrians at pedestrian crossings will be given six black points and fined Dh500. They will also face legal accountability if they cause someone’s death.
