Dubai tourist visa overstayers must pay for permit to exit UAE

Tourists who have overstayed their Dubai-issued visa in the UAE must pay for a permit to exit the country as well as fines.

The fee for an exit permit, also known as an outpass, is between Dh200 and Dh300, while the fine for overstaying one’s visa is Dh50 per day.

A customer service representative at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) Dubai confirmed that anyone overstaying in the country must get an outpass at the airport or immigration offices.

Dubai tourist visa or visit visa holders get a 10-day grace period from the date of visa expiry. ICA/Expat Media
