Dubai motorists and collectors will have a chance to bid for 60 distinctive vehicle number plates at the Roads and Transport Authority’s (RTA) open auction on October 24.
The selection includes two-digit combinations BB 80, BB 18 and CC 44, alongside three-, four- and five-digit plates.
The number plates auction will be held at Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City. Registration opens on October 18 through the RTA website or its customer happiness centres in Umm Ramool, Deira and Al Barsha.
Bidders must have a Dubai traffic file, pay a refundable Dh25,000 security deposit and a non-refundable Dh120 participation fee. Successful bidders must settle their purchases within 10 working days, with a five per cent value-added tax applying to plate sales. CAM/Expat Media
