More than 20,000 people have applied for jobs at Dubai’s Museum of the Future within 48 hours, in a recruitment drive that puts personality and human connection ahead of a conventional CV.
The museum’s Future Perfects campaign also recorded 42,000 visits to its official website during the first two days after applications opened on Wednesday (October 21).
The initiative is recruiting people to help shape a reimagined visitor experience when the museum reopens in 2027. Instead of requiring previous museum or customer-service experience, it focuses on qualities such as imagination, curiosity, emotional intelligence, warmth and adaptability.
Applications remain open until November 8 through Futureperfects.ae, giving more candidates a chance to apply even if they have not worked in a museum or customer-service role before.
Azza AlNuaimi, chief operating officer of the Museum of the Future, said the response showed strong interest in opportunities that look beyond applicants’ qualifications on paper. “The response in the first 48 hours reflects strong interest in career opportunities that recognise human potential beyond what is written on a CV. Dubai has always believed in recognising potential beyond conventional paths, and Future Perfects brings that belief into practice,” she said.
“We believe that what makes someone uniquely human could be exactly what makes them a Future Perfect. Shaping the future requires more than knowledge alone; it requires the ability to make that knowledge meaningful and accessible to others,” she added.
The recruitment team has begun reviewing applications. Candidates will move through assessments and shortlisting before final live auditions in front of an expert judging panel.
Successful applicants will join the museum’s Visitor Experience team in full-time roles, helping visitors engage with ideas about science, technology, nature, society and the future through personal interactions. ICA/Expat Media
