INDIA – An Indian man who tried to smuggle gold from Dubai to Calicut has been caught with 481g of gold that he inserted into his anus, officials said on Wednesday (October 21).
The man landed at Kozhikode International Airport on an Air India Express flight from Dubai when customs officers found the hidden gold in his rectum.
The gold was hidden in four capsules.
Meanwhile, authorities also arrested another passenger at the same airport after he tried to smuggle a 24-karat gold chain weighing nearly 200g that he hid in his underwear.
