DUBAI – A 46-year-old Indian man is now $1 million richer while a Filipina will drive away with a luxury car after winning the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draw on Wednesday (October 21).
Anub Pillai, a manager for a building contractor company, bought his winning ticket number 4512 online on October 4.
The expat, who has been living in Dubai for the last 21 years, said he has been buying tickets to the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draw for 10 years.
He described the limit of 5,000 tickets as an “advantage” to those joining the draw. He is the 169th Indian national to win the grand prize.
Meanwhile, a 37-year-old Filipina based in Sharjah won a Mercedez Benz car at the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise draw on Wednesday.
Kathleen Lising won a Mercedes Benz AMG GT 43 after her ticket number 0491 was picked in the draw. Lising bought her winning ticket online on October 1.
Vishal Raveendran, a 31-year-old Indian national based in Dubai, also won a luxury motorbike in the same draw.
