Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has ordered government employee salaries to be paid early on April 23, 2024.

Dubai Government employees will be receiving their salary early after heavy rain and subsequent flooding wreaked havoc in Dubai and other emirates last week.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, ordered that government employees’ salaries be paid on Tuesday (April 23).

Sheikh Hamdan’s directives also benefit military personnel, military retirees and social assistance beneficiaries.

According to Sheikh Hamdan, the early salary disbursement is aimed at helping employees cope with their families’ needs following the adverse weather conditions. He also thanked authorities who contributed to helping flood-affected residents and citizens.

On April 16, heavy rain caused widespread flooding in Dubai that left hundreds of people stranded and damaged many homes and properties.

On Saturday (April 20), Sheikh Hamdan ordered all property developers and property management companies in Dubai to provide free home repair and other services to those affected by the severe weather. The Dubai Crown Prince said he will personally monitor the progress of Dubai Government response measures in affected areas. ICA/Expat Media
