DUBAI – A total of 770 drivers who caused a disturbance by driving noisy cars in Abu Dhabi have been fined Dh2,000 each, according to Abu Dhabi Police.
The motorists were also given 12 black points on their traffic file for reckless driving. Those who accumulate 24 black points will have their driving license suspended.
According to Abu Dhabi Police, the fines were handed out between January and June this year.
According to Abu Dhabi Police, driving a noisy vehicle is considered an offence because is “causes panic, startles and angers other drivers and road users and residents”.
