DUBAI – A man was crushed to death after a concrete wall collapsed on him at a construction site in Umm Al Quwain.
According to the Umm Al Quwain Civil Defence, the incident happened on Sunday (May 17) in Salmah area.
Police did not reveal details about the construction worker’s identity.
Civil Defence teams used a thermal imaging camera to locate the man’s body from under the debris.
After pinpointing the man’s location, they used a hydraulic lift to remove the collapsed wall and retrieve the man’s body.
Colonel Salem Hamad bin Hamda, Civil Defence Director, said the man was declared dead on site.
