DUBAI – Ras Al Khaimah police have rescued nine hikers who were trapped in the Sheha area in Ras Al Khaimah.
Rescuers in helicopters were deployed to search for the hikers, who were found stuck in a rugged area in the mountainous terrain.
Colonel Tayyar Saeed Rashid Al Yamahi, Head of the Air Wing Department of Ras Al Khaimah Police, said that four in the group had been stuck in the area since last week.
Al Yamahi said five in the group got stranded in the rugged terrain a few days ago. Watch the rescue unfold here:
