UAE weather: Hazy conditions to continue

Parts of the UAE will experience haze as dusty conditions are forecast to continue this week.

There is also more chance of rain on Tuesday (March 28), with parts of the country experiencing light rain in the early morning and in the last few days.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology, the weather this week will be dusty at times, with songs winds blowing dusty and sand during the daytime. Here’s the 5-day weather forecast:

Tuesday, March 28, 2023

Dusty and partly cloudy to cloudy at times accompanied with some rainy, convective clouds over scattered areas of the country especially Northern and Eastern areas during the daytime. Moderate winds, becoming fresh to strong at times causing blowing dust and sand. The sea will be moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.

Wednesday, March 29

Fair to partly cloudy and dusty at times. Humid by night and Thursday morning over some internal areas with a probability of mist formation. Moderate to Fresh Northwesterly winds and strong at times especially over the sea, causing blowing dust and sand during the daytime, decreasing by night, with a speed of 15 – 25 reaching 45 Km/hr. The sea will be rough, becoming moderate by Thursday morning in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.

Thursday, March 30

Fair to partly cloudy at times. Clouds will appear eastward by afternoon. Humid by night and Friday morning over some coastal and internal areas with a chance of fog or mist formation. Light to moderate Northwesterly to Southwesterly winds, freshening at times, with a speed of 10 – 20 reaching 35 Km/hr. The sea will be moderate to slight in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.

Friday, March 31

Fair to partly cloudy at times. Humid by night and Saturday morning over some internal areas with a probability of fog or mist formation. Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northwesterly winds, freshening gradually over the sea by Saturday morning westward, with a speed of 15 – 25 reaching 40 Km/hr. The sea will be slight, becoming moderate to rough at times westward by Saturday morning in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.

Saturday, April 1

Dusty and partly cloudy at times. Humid by night and Sunday morning over some internal areas. Moderate to fresh Northwesterly winds, and strong at times over the sea, causing blowing dust and sand and reducing horizontal visibility over the exposed areas, with a speed of 15 – 30 , reaching 50 Km/hr. The sea will be rough to very rough in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate, becoming rough by night in the Oman Sea.
