As part of its limo service, the Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) has started testing the Skywell electric vehicle (EV). Currently, 70 percent of the DTC fleet comprises environmentally friendly vehicles.

DTC is conducting a trial period for several models of various firms as part of a feasibility study to evaluate electric cars (EVs). The Skywell EV is undergoing a three-month trial with vehicles tested on Dubai roads to determine its characteristics and suitability for use within the DTC fleet.

“Such a drive warrants delivering top-notch services while ensuring comfort and safety in line with the top environmental protection standards to achieve emission-free transportation by 2050,” said Mansoor Rahma Al Falasi, CEO of DTC.

DTC highlighted the “rapid expansion” of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across the emirate, which can accommodate various types and models.

To transition Dubai’s public transportation system to one without emissions, the DTC aims to increase its fleet of eco-friendly vehicles by 70 each year.

DTC is bringing various vehicle brands from manufacturers to achieve this goal of getting the greatest outcomes that cater to clients according to the best standards of comfort, safety, and security while considering the environment. KD/Expat Media
