UAE weather: Expect rainy days this week

Rain of varying intensities is forecast to fall on parts of the UAE this week, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).

According to the weather bureau, there will be chances of rainfall from Monday (January 23) until Friday, especially over some easter, coastal and western areas.

Here’s the weather forecast:

Monday, January 23

Partly cloudy in general and cloudy at times over scattered areas with a chance of rainfall especially over some Eastern, Coastal, and Western areas. Light to moderate winds, freshening at times. The sea will be moderate becoming rough at times especially with clouds in the Arabian gulf and moderate becoming rough at times during daytime in Oman sea.

Tuesday, January 24

Partly cloudy in general and cloudy at times over scattered areas with a chance of rainfall. Light to moderate Easterly to Northeasterly winds, freshening at times, with a speed of 10 – 25 reaching 40 km/hr. The sea will be moderate becoming rough at times especially with clouds in the Arabian gulf and in Oman sea.

Wednesday, January 25

Partly cloudy in general and cloudy at times over scattered areas with falling rain. Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds, and fresh to strong at times of cloud activity causing blowing dust, with a speed of 20 – 30 reaching 50 km/hr. The sea will be moderate becoming rough at times especially with clouds in the Arabian gulf and in Oman sea.

Thursday, January 26

Partly cloudy in general and cloudy at times over scattered areas with falling rain. Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds, and fresh to strong at times of cloud activity causing blowing dust, with a speed of 20 – 30 reaching 50 km/hr. The sea will be moderate becoming rough at times especially with clouds in the Arabian gulf and in Oman sea.

Friday, January 27

Partly cloudy in general and cloudy at times over scattered areas with a chance of rainfall. Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly and Northwesterly winds, freshening at times, with a speed of 15 – 25 reaching 40 km/hr. The sea will be moderate becoming rough at times especially with clouds in the Arabian gulf and in Oman sea.
