UAE authorities have launched two new visas this month aimed at attracting talents in sustainable practices and e-gaming.

On May 15, the UAE Cabinet announced the launch of a Blue Residency visa for individuals who have made significant contribution to environment protection and sustainable practices.

Earlier this month, the Dubai Government launched a Gaming Visa to attract talents and creators in the e-gaming industry. Here’s all you need to know.

Blue Residency Visa

What is the validity?

The visa is valid for 10 years

What is it for?

It’s a long-term visa for individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to environment protection, whether in marine life, land-based ecosystems, or air quality, sustainability technologies, the circular economy, or related fields.

Who qualifies?

It will be granted to supporters of environmental action, including members of international organisations, international companies, members of associations and non-governmental organisations, global award winners, and distinguished activists and researchers in environmental work, including Emiratis and expats who are advocates of environment protection.

How to apply?

Submit individual applications directly through the services of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security, or be nominated by competent authorities

What is the validity?

What is it for?

It is a long-term cultural visa that offers a Creative and Talented Accreditation Certificate to
talents and creators in the e-gaming industry

Who qualifies?

It will be granted to professionals in the video game industry, including developers, designers, programmers, as well as entrepreneurs and startups in the creative industries.

How to apply?

First, you need to get the Creative and Talented Accreditation Certificate, which will be the basis for issuing the long-term gaming visa.
