Public school students in the UAE are getting a debt relief after President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan ordered on Thursday (April 4) that all student loans will be paid.

A total of Dh155 million student loans will be paid as part of the initiative to support youth education, according to state news agency WAM.

Students registered in UAE government schools will benefit from the initiative, which will cover all student loans until the academic year 2023-2024.

The initiative will be rolled out in coordination with Emirates Foundation for School Education. ICA/Expat Media
