DUBAI – The Express Darbar restaurant in Abu Dhabi has been shut down for multiple food safety violations, according to the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority.
The restaurant in Al Mafraq Industrial City was reportedly fined three times for food safety violations before it was finally shut down.
The area is home to worker accommodations, shops, factories and offices that are also close to a wastewater treatment plant.
According to inspectors, the restaurant endangered public health by violating rules on proper food handling, hygiene and storage.
It will only be allowed to reopen if it passes the next hygiene and food safety inspection. ICA/Expat Media
