UAE: Residents, visitors enjoy fireworks, light shows on National Day

For the UAE’s 51st National Day on Friday, thousands of visitors and residents flocked to watch the fireworks displays across the country.

The skies lit up with fireworks featuring the national flag colors.

Popular UAE destinations drew crowds with the spectacular pyrotechnic panache.

Many flocked to Abu Dhabi’s Al Maryah Island promenade, while some visited the stunning waterfront extension of Dubai Festival City Mall for late-night National Day partygoers.

Burj Khalifa and Abu Dhabi’s Emirates Palace also joined to give the celebration a grand LED display. BKM/ Expat Media
