UAE public school students to return to classrooms in August

DUBAI – Public school students in the UAE will return to their classrooms in August, according to the UAE’s government school authority Emirates Schools Establishment.

The new school year starts on August 29, when students in government schools are expected to return to in-person classes.

The decision came as more than 80 percent of staff at public schools in the UAE received full vaccination against Covid-19.

Officials said that precautionary measures will be in place to keep students, staff and teachers safe as classrooms reopen for classes.

Distance learning will still be an option for parents who do not want to send their children back to classrooms for in-person classes. ICA/Expat Media
