UAE president pardons 1,025 inmates ahead of Ramadan

As part of his humanitarian initiatives, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan authorized the release of 1,025 prisoners serving various sentences in the UAE before the Holy Month of Ramadan.

According to the UAE President, this initiative reflects the values of forgiveness and tolerance, allowing pardoned inmates “to start a new life and ease the suffering of their families.”

The annual pardon before Ramadan seeks “to strengthen family ties, deliver joy to families, and enables inmates to consider their future.” It allows them “to return to the righteous path leading a successful social and professional life.” RZSP/Expat Media
