Sharjah increases speed limit on key road

DUBAI – The Road and Transport Authority (RTA) in Sharjah announced a new speed limit on Sharjah’s Wadi Madiq-Kalba road.

According to the RTA, the speed limit on E102 has been increased from 80km/hr to 100km/hr. Highway E102 connects Wadi Madiq to Kalba, which is 12 kilometres off the Fujairah border.

The RTA said the relaxed speed limit will not pose a danger to road users.

Authorities said the speed limit was increased since the road is smooth and there are no residential communities or urban centres nearby. ICA/Expat Media
