Dh500 fine for parking randomly during Taraweeh prayers

A fine of Dh500 will be imposed on motorists who park in undesignated areas during Taraweeh or other prayers, the Abu Dhabi Police announced. It is under federal traffic law that states whoever fails to abide by the traffic rule is punishable by a fine.

The authorities called on vehicle owners to avoid parking randomly and urged them to follow traffic rules during Ramadan. They also issued an advisory against the dangers of not parking in designated areas.

To spread awareness among the public during the holy month of Ramadan, the Abu Dhabi Police, in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Media, has launched season three of the daily Ramadan TV show: “Our month of obedience and commitment.”

The program aims to encourage positive practices that enhance security and safety in the emirates. RZSP/Expat Media
