DUBAI – The UAE reported no new deaths from coronavirus on Sunday (August 2), as the country’s total number of active cases continued to drop at 6,033.
The UAE has one of the world’s lowest death rates from Covid-19, with the death toll at 351 since the onslaught of the virus in March.
The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention also reported 239 new coronavirus cases and 360 recoveries as of Sunday.
More than 42,000 new Covid-19 tests in 24 hours were also carried out across the country, according to the ministry.
