New UAE visa rules: What you need to know about job seeker visa

Jobseekers are expected to benefit the most from the UAE’s new visa rules, with analysts forecasting an influx of foreigners wishing to work in the UAE.

According to the UAE jobs portal and market research firm YouGov, the job market in the UAE is expanding. Over 70% of UAE enterprises aim to hire new personnel next year.

Half of all organizations polled intend to hire no more than five new employees in the next three months, while 25% plan to hire between six and ten.

The job seeker visa was created to encourage young talent and qualified professionals to explore job prospects in the country.

It is open to people categorized as having the first, second, or third skill level by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) and the most recent graduates from the world’s top 500 universities.

The job seeker visa does not require a sponsor or a host. The minimum educational level should be a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent. The visa is multi-entry and valid for 60 days.

Listed below are the visa prices:
-60-day visa costs Dh1,495
-90-day visa costs Dh1,655
-120-day visa costs Dh1,815.

According to the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security website, each jobseeker visa comes with a Dh1,025 refundable security deposit.
