ABU DHABI – As the UAE marked National Day on Monday (December 2), a family in Abu Dhabi ushered in the special occasion with the birth of baby boy Hamad.
Baby Hamad was born on Monday at 8:54am at Bareen International Hospital in the capital, becoming the hospital’s first UAE National Day baby in 2019.
Doctors Nazura Siddiqi and Mohamed Embabi successfully carried out the caesarian section delivery of the baby weighing 2.67kg.
“It is a great pride for us that our little boy shares his birthday with the National Day of our great nation. This day has certainly started on the best note possible,” said the father, Mohammad Hamad Al Marri.
Al Marri, 26, thanked hospital staff for “safely delivering our precious gift”, his second child.
Dr. Siddiqi said, “It is always a happy time when we bring new life into the world. Having a baby at any time is a joyous occasion, but to have a baby delivered on UAE National Day 2019 is extra special.” DAJ/Expat Media
