DUBAI – A jaywalker was severely injured after he was hit by a public bus in Dubai’s Al Muraqqabat area, according to Dubai Police.
The incident happened at 10:30pm on Monday (November 16). Police said the man was taken to Rashid Hospital for treatment. There were no further details about the man’s identity.
Initial investigation revealed that the man crossed the street from an undesignated area when he was hit by the bus operated by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
Police quoted witnesses as saying that the man appeared to have been drunk at the time of the incident and was seen “walking unsteadily” before he fell down and was hit by the bus. ICA/Expat Media
