Guide to green pass on Al Hosn app in UAE

DUBAI – A green pass on your Al Hosn app is required if you want to enter public places in Abu Dhabi, including malls and restaurants. But what is it and how do you get a green code?

Here’s how it works

If you are fully vaccinated

Your Al Hosn app will remain in green status as long as you have a negative PCR test once every 30 days. Active icons of letter E and a gold star will also display on your app for seven days.

If you are not vaccinated

Your Al Hosn app will remain in green status if you get a PCR test every three days.

30-day green status

For fully vaccinated individuals who received their complete dose 28 days prior to app check or longer, and have a negative PCR test every 30 days.

14-day green status

For fully vaccinated individuals who received their complete dose less than 28 days prior to app check. Green status will show for 14 days from their last PCR test, provided the result was negative.

7-day green status for vaccinated

For those who received their first vaccine dose and are awaiting their second dose. Green status will show for seven days from their last PCR test, provided the result was negative.

7-day green status for exempted

Individuals with medical certificates showing they are exempt from taking the Covid-19 vaccine will have a green status on their Al Hosn app for seven days from their last PCR test, provided the result was negative.

3-day green status for vaccinated

For individuals who received their first vaccine dose but have exceeded the 48-day gap to receive their second dose. The app will indicate green status for three days from their last PCR test, provided the result was negative.

3-day green status for unvaccinated

Individuals who are not vaccinated will have a green status on their Al Hosn app from the date of their last PCR test, provided the result was negative.
