Good news, foodies! A new hangout at Dubai’s iconic Al Ghurair Centre is opening to the public on February 16.

A soft opening may be expected from February 12 to 15 but final details will be announced on Al Ghurair Centre’s social media pages, sources said.

Meanwhile, Expat Media was invited to preview the food hall ahead of its public launch. Here’s a sneak peek:

Flayva is more than just your fast food counters. The dining destination promises a gastronomic experience like no other.

Located on the ground floor, Flayva assembles some of the best international and homegrown F&B concepts in a “street food hall” setting. The diverse culinary options take you on a literal food trip around the world, from Filipino to Japanese, Indonesian to Lebanese, Indian to Thai, Vietnamese to Asian fusion. There’s a melting pot of flavours for every palate.

We loved the delightful baos from Baofriend and Asian fusion deserts at Taro by Baofriend, Filipino eats from Bacolod Inasal BBQ and iced desserts from Salvi’s Junior. We couldn’t get enough of the tom yum and pad thai at Siam Thai Food and the rich buttered chicken from House of Curry. We also loved the takoyaki and steak teriyaki at Tako Ichiban House.

We’ve made a mental note to visit other outlets we didn’t have time to try: Authentic Greek, Uzbeki Cuisine, Allo Beirut, Chibog, Warung Bandung, Vietnamese Snack Food Café, Little Oriental Dining, Clucks and Hubboba Tea Café. ICA/Expat Media
