Dubai RTA bus service to 4 emirates resumes

Four intercity bus services from Dubai to Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Sharjah and Fujairah resumed on Thursday (May 19), according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

The four intercity bus routes that resumed from Dubai are: E100 from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station to Abu Dhabi, E201 from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station to Al Ain, E315 from Etisalat Metro Station to Muwaileh, Sharjah, and E700 from Etihad Bus Station to Fujairah.

The resumption of the bus services follows “life returning to normal in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the growing demand for buses across these routes”, said Adel Shakeri, Director of Planning and Business Development of the Public Transport Agency.

A new route will begin operating from Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station on May 19. The F38 metro link will also run through several districts before arriving at Dubai Sports City.

The trips will begin at 6am until 12:30am the following day with a 20-minute interval in between trips. Additionally, Route 50 and Route N30 will also be extended up to the International City Bus Station.

“RTA is always keen to deliver excellent and highly efficient public transport solutions to various members of the community,” Shakeri reassured. BKM/ Expat Media
