Six people have been arrested for trying to smuggle Dh3.87 billion worth of banned Captagon pills hidden in 651 doors and 432 panels.
Dubai Police did not give further details about the identities of the suspects, but said that they tried to smuggle 13 tonnes of Captagon. Dubai Police’s drug bust, called Operation Storm, netted a total of 86 million Captagon pills that the suspects tried to smuggle in five shipping containers.
A video shared by the Minister of Interior showed how police tracked down and arrested the suspects, and then found the drugs hidden inside the doors and panels. Watch it here:
