Sometimes, a few kind words can be just as satisfying as the food itself.

This was the case when a customer ordering from Agemono Express in Satwa, Dubai, added an unexpected note to their online order, giving restaurant staff a little extra reason to smile.

The customer had ordered Yakisoba and Lomi, according to the receipt, but alongside the food request was a message that went beyond the usual instructions that come with a delivery order: “I know this note is just for removing something, but I wanted to say: your food is delicious. Thank you.”

The simple compliment caught the attention of the Agemono Express team, which shared the note online as an example of the kind of small gesture that can brighten someone’s day.

“Thank you very much for your continued support and appreciation notes,” the restaurant said in response on Friday (September 25).

For restaurants, online orders can often be a series of names, items, delivery instructions and requests. This customer’s message turned an otherwise ordinary transaction into a moment of appreciation for the people preparing the meal.

Agemono Express is a Filipino-owned restaurant chain that started in Dubai in 2005 and has since expanded to several branches across the UAE. It serves a mix of Japanese and Filipino dishes. In Dubai, its Satwa and Muraqqabat branches operate 24 hours, while customers can also order through Talabat, Noon Food, Keeta, Careem and Deliveroo. CAM/Expat Media
