Dubai Customs officers have arrested an Asian man who attempted to smuggle marijuana through the Dubai International Airport.
The man had hidden the ground marijuana in bags, and claimed they were henna powder. The illegal narcotics was immediately detected as soon as he went through Dubai Customs.
Dubai Customs inspectors grew suspicious of the man’s bag when it underwent baggage screening and images from inspection devices showed an unusual density inside the bag.
Inspectors monitored him and then performed a manual search that revealed the concealed bag of ground marijuana weighing 8.9kg.
The passenger and the illegal narcotics have been handed over to the General Directorate of Anti-Narcotics at Dubai Police. ICA/Expat Media
