“The stories told here in ‘MMK’ are countless — true stories, reflections of your own lives that have taught you a lesson and renewed hope,” she said.

“We are just carriers of stories. If everything were to happen again, I would not hesitate to choose this role. Thirty-one years are not enough to thank you,” she added.

She congratulated everyone involved in the show’s success, both on and off-screen.

“I want to pay tribute to everyone who sent letters, to our directors, writers, researchers, production staff, and to everyone who was part of our program,” she said.

“To the actors who performed, many, many thanks. To the management of ABS-CBN, to our sponsors and most of all to you viewers, you are the ones who said that what we are doing is meaningful to you,” she added.

“MMK” will celebrate its 31st anniversary with a three-part episode beginning November 26 until December 3.

“Thank you for everything in the past and in any way that we can meet again,” she said.

“This is Charo Santos, your fan and storyteller,” she added.

ABS-CBN said on November 11 that Santos was happy with the experience of dubbing her lines in English for the drama anthology, which will begin airing in 41 African nations in January 2023.

“I never expected in my wildest dreams that I’d be dubbing in English for overseas audiences, especially at my age,” said Charo.

The MMK host looks forward to dubbing in other languages to showcase Filipino storytelling and content expertise.

Charo said that if ABS-CBN continues to provide world-class Filipino programming of all genres to foreign audiences, there will be unlimited potential for our material to compete globally.

MMK has shared the experiences of everyday people and celebrities to provide viewers with inspiration, joy, hope, and entertainment. The award-winning program joins a long list of ABS-CBN shows that have been dubbed in numerous languages and are now available in nations worldwide.

It is also available as in-flight entertainment for some international carriers, including Etihad Airways, Royal Brunei Airlines, and Saudi Arabian Airlines. BKM/ Expat Media
