Booster dose, vaccination required to enter Abu Dhabi government offices starting January 10

DUBAI – Government employees in Abu Dhabi must be vaccinated and have received a booster dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in order to enter their workplace starting January 10.

Mandatory PCR tests every seven days and other precautionary measures are still in effect, authorities announced on Wednesday (January 5).

Individuals who can’t get the vaccine due to medical reasons are exempted from the new rule, which is being implemented in coordination with the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee.

Also on January 10, unvaccinated Emiratis will be banned from traveling abroad.

Fully vaccinated Emiratis are also required to have a booster dose if they wish to travel.

A third vaccine shot, or booster dose, is allowed after six months of receiving the second dose of the vaccine. ICA/Expat Media
