DUBAI – Checking in at a Filipino fast food restaurant in Dubai recently, Pakistani actor Bilal Ashraf revealed the weirdest food he has ever tried in his life.
Ashraf was in Dubai on Thursday (July 25) to promote his latest movie, Superstar, with actress Mahira Khan. The movie releases in the UAE for Eid Al Adha at Vox Cinemas in Burjuman.
Speaking to Expatmedia.net, Ashraf said the weirdest food he has eaten was during a trip to Bangkok.
What was it?
“Scorpion. I just came across these fried scorpions. I was there and I ate it,” he said.
Eating insects in Thailand is common among locals. In Khaosan Road, a backpacker’s haven in Bangkok, street vendors can be seen offering insects for sale, ranging from crickets to the more exotic scorpions and tarantulas.
