Qualified individuals can apply for a 10-year UAE Golden Visa for Dh150, according to the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP).
This comes after the ICP increased the application fee for UAE Golden Visa from Dh50 to Dh150 effective Wednesday (February 15).
The UAE Golden Visa is valid for 10 years. It is granted to investors, entrepreneurs, exceptional talents, scientists and professionals, outstanding students and graduates, humanitarian pioneers and frontline heroes.
A Golden Visa allows the holder to sponsor his or her family members, including spouse and children regardless of their age, and sponsor an unlimited number of domestic workers. UAE Golden Visa holders can also stay outside the UAE for as long as they want without affecting the validity of their visa. A regular residency visa becomes invalid once the holder stays outside the UAE for more than six months.

The ICP urged foreigners seeking a UAE Golden Visa to check their eligibility on the website smartservices.icp.gov.ae or the smart application “UAEICP” and follow the steps to complete the procedures.
ICP reiterated that candidacy application is a service that enables the issuance of the golden visa through an initial electronic approval. ALSO READ: 16 questions to know if you qualify for Golden Visa

The cost varies from Dh3,800 to Dh4,800. There are additional costs for applications done outside the UAE. The exact cost of the visa is also dependent on the category in which the applicant is applying.
