The UAE Golden Visa is one of the country’s long-term residence visas allowing foreigners to live and work in the emirates for up to 10 years.
Aside from its long-term residence benefits, the UAE Golden Visa can be issued to applicants without needing a local sponsor.
There are a host of great benefits, too. A Golden Visa allows the holder to sponsor his or her family members, including spouse and children regardless of their age, and sponsor an unlimited number of domestic workers. UAE Golden Visa holders can also stay outside the UAE for as long as they want without affecting the validity of their visa. A regular residency visa becomes invalid once the holder stays outside the UAE for more than six months.
But the UAE Golden Visa is not for everyone. It is only granted to investors, entrepreneurs, exceptional talents, scientists and professionals, outstanding students and graduates, humanitarian pioneers and frontline heroes.
