DUBAI – A total of 18 establishments in Dubai were shut down over Covid-19 rule violations, according to the Dubai Municipality on Monday (January 18).
The businesses that were shut down included seven laundry shops in Nayef and three more in Al Barsha 1. Three food outlets in Al Daghaya and two more in Port Saeed were also shut down.
The municipality also shut down three beauty salons in Hor Al Anz East. The municipality said that the establishments failed to comply with safety measures.
Meanwhile, 45 outlets were given warnings to comply with health and safety rules. The municipality inspected 2,354 outlets this week.
The ongoing inspections across Dubai came as the country continued to record its highest numbers of daily Covid-19 cases in seven days. ICA/Expat Media
